Oak
Tree Funeral Services of Eardisley and Kington is an independent
and well established Funeral business owned by Mr. Bill Rowlatt
who has lived and worked in the Herefordshire area since 1973.
Oak Tree Funeral Services offer both traditional and alternative
funerals, and is highly respected by local families from the
very professional and compassionate way each funeral is planned
and directed.
Bill's
business operates from 6 Castle Close, Eardisley, whilst the
Chapel of Rest is situated just outside the market town of
Kington, at the town's Cemetery.
The
non-denominational Chapel was built in the first part of the
19th century. It's position envelops the beautiful hills and
countryside around and beyond Kington, making it an idyllic
place for loved ones to be, and where families may visit to
pay their last respects.
Inside this small chapel, is a welcoming reception area, which
has an immediate feeling of warmth, peace and tranquillity.
Two of its most beautiful features include the building's
original stained glass windows, and an altar draped by a hand
embroidered velvet cloth.
There
is a bereavement library, which enables families to browse
and select books or poems of their choice. This is often useful
when preparing order of services before the funeral takes
place.
Bill
provides a 24-hour personal and caring service, supported
by his team of experienced bearers and ushers. He offers a
comprehensive and varied range of special services for the
bereaved and, whenever possible, families are visited in the
comfort of their own home in order to discuss and plan the
funeral arrangements.
Burials
and cremations are arranged and directed within all areas
of Hereford City, County, the bordering Counties and can be
extended to other areas. Our help and sympathetic advice is
always readily available. Click
